Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your symptoms.

Do you normally have a heavy menstrual flow? Have you been diagnosed with uterine fibroids?
How long have you been bleeding?

Please contact your gynecologist or primary care physician right away. I am concerned that you might be anemic from the heavy menstrual bleeding.

Loss of blood is the most common cause of anemia. Dizziness and headache are just two symptoms of anemia. Bleeding causes you to lose red blood cells more quickly than they can be replaced.

Regards,
Maryann
