I am just wondering if this is anything I should be concerned about? My fiance and I have sex regularly and I am just wanting to make sure that I am not pregnant. My breasts have not been tender although I have had quite alot of cramping recently, super emotional and I have been exhausted every day for the last 2-3 weeks or so...I took a home pregnancy test and it came back negative and I am supposed to get my period in 7 days...

A sign of pregnancy is not typically spotting or bleeding, but rather the absence of bleeding or a period.

Some women may spot earlier than they expect before their period, or it could be some spotting from intercourse.

If you do not have any pain associated with the spotting, it can be a normal experience for women to have mid-cycle bleeding, especially if they are using hormonal contraception.

Of course, if the sex you are having regularly is without any form of birth control, some women do experience a day or two of spotting from implantation (pregnancy) before their period begins.
