Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I can appreciate your concern about the scan results. However, from my first hand experience, either the radiologist who read the breast scan or your physician who ordered the scan, should or will discuss the findings with you.

All that we can provide is general information and not interpret the findings of an imaging study.

Breasts are composed of fibroglandular tissue and fatty tissue. Dense breasts contain more fibroglandular tissue than fatty tissue. Approximately one-half of women have dense breasts.

Fibrocystic breast disease, also known as fibroadenosis, is a term used to describe a group of benign conditions that affect the breast.

Please contact your physician for an appointment to discuss the findings.
