Hello Bellabella6,

Did you notice the spotting immediately or shortly after having sex? Was this the first time you had vaginal intercourse? If the answer to these two questions is yes, then the spotting could be the result of perforation of your hymen.

Did you notice the spotting more recently, like yesterday? Is your period due? If the answer is yes, then the spotting may be a precursor to your menstrual period.
