I have a mass on my right side and toward the back. I didn't notice it until just recently. Some tenderness and it does cause some pain , more like a lower back pain. Can this possibly be cancer

Did you injure your back at all? You need to see your doctor for a proper diagnosis. We would only be guessing as to the cause. This could be muscle related, a bruise or cyst, we cannot know. Try not to think the worst and have it looked at.
