I have a stabbing pain way down inside my ear. What can i do ?

A sharp stabbing pain in the ear canal and/or a feeling of fullness in the ear may be a sign of an ear infection. Drainage from the ear can also sign of infection. Often, a virus causes an ear infection, in which case antibiotics won’t help. If your doctor suspects that bacteria may have caused the infection, he or she will prescribe an antibiotic. Below, things you can do at home.
