Hi,
October 3, 2011 - 3:44pmThe average menstrual cycle is 28 days long. Cycles can range anywhere from 21 to 35 days in adults and from 21 to 45 days in young teens. Ten days early is extending the variable range. The rise and fall of levels of hormones during the month control the menstrual cycle. I guessing that a change in your hormonal balance may be the cause. If you continue to have irregular and early periods, call your doctor. If you are very concerned, give your doctor a call now.
