Most likely, your pregnancy test results are accurate, as a HPT measures the amount of a specific "pregnancy hormone", and it is able to detect small amount of hormone. Urine naturally contains many other products, and from my understanding, blood is not a deterring factor in a HPT detecting "pregnancy hormones". Please know that it may depend on the amount of other products in your urine, or quantity of blood for example, and a quick call to your doctor may be advisable in your situation.

Are you trying to conceive? Why do you think you may be pregnant? This is the biggest factor of all: if you have a high chance of pregnancy (meaning: frequent, unprotected sex since your last menstrual period), then a negative pregnancy test result and a late period, combined with your medical condition, may warrant a second testing and/or call to your doctor. If, however, you are not having frequent unprotected sex, the likelihood of your test result being inaccurate would have more to do with this added information (regardless of medical conditions). Does that make sense?

Yes we are trying to have a baby.We have been trying for almost 2 years.I have huge amounts of blood in my urine which puts me in the stage 3 kidney disease.I also have congestive heart failure,COPD and have 3 tumors in my lymph nodes that need to be removed. We are trying to conceive ASAP due to my health.I do realize at my age there is not a high chance of conceiving however we have Faith in God.This is the 1st time I have ever been late like this unless I was pregnant.Keeping my fingers crossed lol. Will take another test wednesday & then August 15th will have ultrasound to see exactly what is going on.

I am sorry you are experiencing so many health conditions right now!!

Have you talked with your OBGYN regarding your TTC (trying to conceive) for two years? Have you talked with your primary doctor about what happens to your lymph node tumors once you are pregnant? (Should these be removed first, before pregnancy, as the influx of hormones may worsen some pre-existing medical conditions). I just want to make sure you have all of the necessary information so that your body remains healthy during a pregnancy, as conceiving is just the first part.

Take care!
