Thankyou Maryann I am seeing my endocrinologist. This week as I am pretty sure it's not pmdd that I gave npbeen going through the last 3 years but peri menopause .The depression, night sweats, cortisol bursts, anxiety, crawling skin, tired all the time, hair loss.My recent bloods showed progesterone .9 and estrogen 368,cortisol 556 and prolactin 399.thyroid was normal.I am on antidepressants and have been for years but recently went back to zoloft and have been on combined hrt patches the last 5 or 6 weeks but think the patches are making things worse as I need progesterone not estrogen .

Hello Roxee,

During perimenopause, estrogen levels fluctuate erratically, with unpredictable highs and lows, while progesterone levels decrease.

Regards,
Maryann
