I'm getting sharp shooting pains through my leg, what is it?

Hi there.
i'm a 22 year old woman. i have had 2 kids. and i am overweight.
i've been trying to loose weight but not much is happening.
Because any form of excercise, if its walking or something on the xbox kinect.
I get a sharp shooting pain in my leg, its from the knee right down to my foot. its more on my left leg but it can happen in my right leg too. It's not there all the time just when i decide to go to the shops or try do a bit more walking or do a little excercise programme on you shape thing. the pain cripples me for days.

i have no clue what it is ive tried to change to different types of trainers incase was my footwear but thats had no impact.
can anybody help me plz?

Being overweight can be the cause of the sharp shooting leg pains. The added weight is putting a strain on your muscles, bones  and nerves. It is also possible that you may have a stress fracture secondary to the extra weight.

Make an appointment with your primary care physician to have your pain evaluated and the cause diagnosed.
