On June 3rd, i had sex and the condom broke. Right after (not even an hour after) i took Next Choice and continued with the 2nd pill exactly 12 hours later. It is now July 24th and I still have not gotten my period. On June 18th (When I was supposed to get my period) I took a pregnancy test and it came out to be negative. I waited a week and still didn't get my period so I took another test and it still came out to be negative. It is now July 24th and i STILL haven't gotten my period. What's going on?

Guide

Hello aprilsun21,

Changes in the menstrual cycle are a side effect of Next Choice. Some women experience a delay or earlier than normal start of their period while others have a lighter or heavier flow than normal.

Two months without a period seems more than a side effect, but I'm not an expert. I suggest you schedule an appointment with your gynecologist. Blood tests, to check for pregnancy or to check hormone levels, may be recommended and help explain what is going on.

Please keep us updated.
