Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community with your concern about no period this month.

Have you had unprotected sex since your last normal period two months ago?

Have you been experiencing an unusually high level of stress? Have you recently increased your level of physical activity? Have you lost or gained a lot of weight? Have you been traveling? Have you been ill?

All of these situations can cause a delay or missed period. The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. Any upset will cause a change in your menstrual cycle.

Since this is causing you to worry, I suggest to speak with your gynecologist, who knows you and your medical history.

Regards,
Maryann

Guide (reply to Zainabnaurani)

Hello Zainabnaurani,

As much as I would like to help you, I cannot say whether or not you are pregnant. Only a pregnancy test can show that. But, if you have not had unprotected intercourse since your last normal period, I do not think you could be pregnant.

That is not to say that there is not a hormonal imbalance that is causing a missed period. Again, only a blood test to check hormone levels can determine that.

Can you see a physician or visit a women's health clinic?

Regards,
Maryann
