Dear Anon,

Thanks for reaching out to EmpowHer.

The groin is an area of your hip between your stomach and thigh, where your abdomen ends and your legs begin. The groin area contains five muscles that work together to move your leg, so it's not surprising that your leg mishap is affecting your groin. If the pain is severe, see your doctor or Urgent Care Facility right away. If the pain was mild to moderate you could possibly wait a few days to see if it gets better. But it does not seem like that is the case. Taking over-the-counter anti-inflammatory pain relievers like Advil, Motrin or Aleve can help. Keep us updated.

Best,
Helena
