Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
HPV is highly contageous and is passed via skin to skin contact. Condoms will provide some help but they do not fully protect against skin to skin infections like this.
August 10, 2017 - 5:18amIf your boyfriend has warts, he needs to have them removed. Do not have sex with him during an outbreak.
Once the warts have been fully cleared, you will always need to use a condom, even during foreplay - HPV can infect the mouth also and is a leading cause of mouth and head cancers.
You will be taking a risk of transmission but use as many precautions as possible - HPV is a lot more serious in women than in men.
Best,
Susan
