It is me, Krista. Thank you for responding to my past question...I did respond to your question as well. I am seeing my primary care physician tomorrow and am wondering if there are any specific pain medications that would alleviate the deep ache I feel 24/7. I take approx. 750 mg. of demerol /day and if I could find something long lasting (that could be taken example 2 times/ day that would be great. I am sure that this much is not too good for the rest of my system. I have tried morphine but had a reaction to it (140mg / day). Any suggestions??

Hi Krista,
There is a undetermined or specific treatment option for spondylolysis that physicians agree with according to research. Since you are being treated under pain management with narcotics, you should talk to your physician about your concerns as we can only provide information but certainly cannot provide you with specific medications to help with your pain management. Can you keep us posted on what your doctor prescribes you? Another reason we should certainly not provide information is that you have allergies it appears to some medications (morphine). Please follow up with your physician.
Good luck,
Missie
