My husband is a truck driver and says his pain is less when sitting & driving. Its when he has to get up & get out of the semi and when he walks around. He also said that when walking he experienced like a throbbing pain in his back and under his right shoulder blade. He says lying down seems to ease the pressure. Any ideas of what is causing his pain? Any home remedies he could try? And any recommendations would you have?

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community for help.

I suggest he schedules a physical exam with his primary care physician.

Lower right back pain most commonly results from the following general sources:

injury to the muscles, ligaments, and/or tendons surrounding and supporting the spine (collectively called soft tissues)

problems with the spinal structures, such as the facet joints or intervertebral discs
Issues or diseases affecting the internal organs in the mid-back, abdominal, or pelvic regions
