mum's stitches will be opened on tuesday,her chemo dates will be decided upon today,27th september in all probabilities..will keep you posted..pat,will there be counselling session for ma before chemo is given?

The way that people respond to chemotherapy is different for everyone, but it is a tough process that can be very hard on the person while they are going through it, which is why I asked you earlier if your mom had a good support system. The treatment is needed to treat her cancer, but it will also have an impact on other, healthy cells in her body. Are you reading information about breast cancer and how to support your mom? Since your mom has breast cancer it means that, unfortunately, you too are at risk. You can help both of you by becoming informed and learning all you can. For example, good nutrition is going to be really important while your mom is in treatment, and it is also really important for you in your everyday life today to help in reducing your risk. Well, you have a lot of reading to do. I don't mean to overwhelm you, just to help inform you and your mother. I hope you will view this as working together to regain her good health, instead of viewing it as a fight, which is a negative term. SENTINAL LYMPH NODE,METASTATIC DEPOSITS FOUND.
LEFT WIDE EXCISION LUMPECTOMY SPECIMEN AXILLARY DISSECTION,
INFILTRATING DUCTAL CARCINOMA,NOS,GRADE 2..
chemo is suggested.pat,my mother is 55,her overall health so far is very good,will chemotherapy have a cruel effect on her health? you have crossed this road,how difficult was it for you? and pat,i have spoken with my mum regarding her disease,i was surprised by her display of strength and positivity..we are ready for the fight..

hi dear pat,thanks so much for your reply..my mother is yet to know what she is suffering from.my father expired on july 13th this year,we are yet to recover from it,the discovery of her disease might break my mother into pieces,as of now she knows that she had a tumor n surgery was done to remove it..i know i have to tell her,i just dont know when and how..i am with her,she is doing fine,the doctors attending upon are amazed by her speedy recovery..surgery was done last week and now she is fit enough to do everything,she is at home,doing all her things herself,eating healthy and sleeping normal..
the pathology report which would divulge how far the disease has spread is coming this thursday,will surely let you know what it states.
pat,life has been cruel but i dont want to break my faith..i want to strengthen it..i know hell is momentary,heaven is always..i know there is god,i trust,i believe..i just want HIM to show me the way,maybe thats why you have come to my life.

Understanding her medical condition, the treatments and the recovery process is important. Mammary ductal carcinoma is the most common type of breast cancer in women. Almost 75% of all breast cancers begin in the cells lining the milk ducts and are called ductal carcinomas. When a woman has invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) it means that the disease has spread, and there are are malignant (cancerous) cells in the breast tissue. In some patients, like your mom, the cancer spreads beyond the breast to the lymph nodes.

The information that you've provided sounds like data that is included in a pathology report. Most cancers are described in stages. Are you able to find out from your mom, or from her doctor, the stage of her cancer? Having that information will enable us to give you more information.
