Q:

my three year old landed on his foot wrong. It didn't swell or change color at all but he is limping. I iced it that evening and the following day and limping has gotten much better. I don't know if it is hurting him or not and if so where the pain is.

His story keeps changing. One minute it doeant hurt then it's the side of his foot or top of foot. Now he says just his pinky toe hurts. He isn't crying in pain or anything. Do you think he's just favoring that foot because he hurt it or is this serious?

Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

It sounds like his injury is minor but children's bones are fragile. I would go and get him checked out. You wouldn't want anything to heal incorrectly and have lifelong issues because of it.

I hope this helps.

Be well,
