What would cause my right arm between my wrist and elbow to be numb and is this temporary or is this a long term situation also would this be work related?

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Numbness like this could be work related if you do something with your arm constantly - like working a line (assembly) or anything that is repetitive. With carpal tunnel syndrome, numbness is a common symptom, as well as tingling and pain. Without treatment, this condition can get worse.

Does your work include repetitive motion of the right arm? If so, talk to your doctor about testing and treatment.

Here is a link to our carpal tunnel syndrome page for more information (cut and paste): https://www.empowher.com/carpal-tunnel-syndrome/content/carpal-tunnel-syndrome-symptoms-causes-and-diagnosis
