Nuvaring late insertion

I inserted my nuvaring 5 hours late and had unprotected sex 4 days later. I am worried that I may have become pregnant. The nuvaring site talks about if the ring has been left in over 7 days, but not if you are just hours late.

Hi Anon,

You should still be protected if you inserted it 5 hours late and didn't have sex until 4 days later. The only time when I'd be concerned is if you had sex the same night you inserted it late.
However, I don't think it's addressed on their website because it is likely not a huge deal if you insert your NuvaRing a few hours late.
Just to be on the safe side remember to always put it in at the same time.
