Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
You will need to be very mindful of your ovulation times - a calendar and ovulation kit from any drugstore will provide this kit. If you have a regular cycle, ovulation is generally mid-month so you will need to start having sex around day 10 of your cycle so you don't miss your ovulation time. Since sperm can stay alive in a woman's body for up to 5 days, starting early is important and have sex every other day.
If you have an irregular cycle, it's more difficult to track ovulation. Having sex every other day from day 8-22 of your cycle (or thereabouts) will help.
Couples under 35 who have been unsuccessfully trying for a baby for 12 months are advised to speak to their doctor so both can be checked for fertility problems. For those over 35, 6 months is advised.
July 26, 2017 - 1:23pmGood luck to you both,
Susan
