Over dosage of Postinor 2

I took both pills in one dosage, is this dangerous or less effective? Also, what are the usual side effects after taking the pills and how soon after? I took the pills about a 17 days ago and now I'm spotting ( not heavy but blood is present). Could this be a side effect?

Hello
I took postinor 2 by following the instruction that stated in the medication leaflet inside the box.
It stated that I should take 2 tablets at the same time, and I did.
I just confused bcs there are sources from internet that stated the postinor 2 should taken one by one with 12 hours gap.
What should I do? I'm very confused.

Hi Anonymous,

Postinor 2 is effective in preventing pregnancy if taken within 72 hours or 3 days following unprotected intercourse.

I am concerned that the spotting might be implantation bleeding. You may want to take an early response pregnancy test to be sure.
For the most accurate result, test in the morning and use the first urine of the day. Take a test if it has been at least 12 days since intercourse.

Hello Anonymous,

Levonorgestrel is the active ingredient in emergency contraceptive pills. The effectiveness of the pill may be impaired or reduced when taken in combination with Amoxicillin.

Please check with your physician.

Hi, I have a friend who took two tablets of p2 13days after having sex and she felt dizzy but later she was fine but now she keeps saying that she feels her tummy slightly bulging and also feels pains below her tummy and i will like to ask is it that she took the pills late or the pills is not working on her.
