I was on the constant pill(no break)for 2 years and had no periods during that time. I came off the pill altogether in September last year and haven't had a period since.Last month I had a show for a couple of days and last week I had a proper period which lasted 3 days with terrible cramps. After having no periods for 3 years,is this anything to worry about? Ive just turned 52.

Hello Anonymous,,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community.

This i could be caused by being on the constant pill and then coming off the pill in September. Consider calling and speaking with your gynecologist who is knowledgeable about this and can best advise you.

Regards,
Maryann
