I know this may seem like common sense but I would like feedback. I started taking Loestrin for the very first time May 16th. Upon the third week, I missed two pills on that Sunday and Monday and I just continues as normally on Tuesday. Upon the end of the pack, I came on my cycle June 6th and ran out of pills. When going to get a prescription, the nurse indicated I had to be seen firs. I went to see the physician and he said I have to wait until my next cycle to start again however every since the day my period ended, my fiance and I have had unprotected sex. Primarily all last week up until Saturday night. What are my chances of getting pregnant?

I am 25 and I have a 4 yr old. No health problems besides asthma and anemia and I would think I'm in good shape. If I am ovulating but was on birth control....would I still be fertile?

If you are ovulating and having a week of unprotected sex, you have a chance of pregnancy.

Hi MsJohnson

There are a lot of variables involved in fertility, such as age, medical history, medication usage, nutritional status and things like that, and no one can accurately predict exactly what your odds are. That being said, any time you have unprotected sex, you risk pregnancy. Since you've had pretty consistent unprotected sex, I'd say your chances of becoming pregnant are fairly good.
