About five days ago, I was touching my boyfriend.. "down there." He had his underwear on, but I noticed three small drops of either pre-ejaculate or semen near where the tip of his penis was. I must have touched them because I was running my fingers along there. Right after that, I went upstairs to go to the bathroom. I had NOT washed my hands first, and I wiped. I am only sixteen, and this was the first time I have ever done anything sexual with him. We have been together almost 2 years. I am also TERRIFIED that there is a chance I could get pregnant from this. The drops on his underwear were small, and I when I went upstairs, there was absolutely nothing noticable on my hands AT ALL. I couldn't feel anything either. The day that happened, I was on my period. It was day two of bleeding. Yesterday, my period was very very light, and it was obviously nearing the last day. Today, there was no bleeding at all. But I just went into the bathroom, and there was very dark brown looking discharge in my underwear. This has never happened before, not that I can remember at least. Am I paranoid?

Hello anxietyortruth,
There is no chance that you could have become pregnant.
You were having your period, so you could not possibly conceive.
Conception occurs when one of your ovaries releases a mature egg. You have sexual intercourse and one sperm fertilizes the egg.
When you are menstruating, ovulation has passed, by at least two weeks.
After using the bathroom, you wiped. Even if there was semen on your hands, the toilet tissue acted as a barrier.
It is not unusual to notice a small amount of brown discharge at the end of your period. It is just the "clearing out" of the remaining uterine lining, which is what is shed during your period. Old blood looks brown.
Regarding both parts of your question, there is nothing for you to worry about.
Take care,
Maryann

What if my fingers touched down there while I was wiping? And what of I touched the toilet tissue and then folded it around so the part I touched was doing the wiping?
