Can Rheumatoid Arthritis cause an increase in immature granulocytes? or are immature granulocytes always an indication of cancer?
Thank you...

Hi Beth,
Tests that would indicate RA include: Two lab tests that often help in the diagnosis are:
Rheumatoid factor test
Anti-CCP antibody test
Other tests that may be done include:
March 18, 2013 - 5:30amComplete blood count
C-reactive protein
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate
Joint ultrasound or MRI
Joint x-rays
Synovial fluid analysis
Immature Granulocytes are not directly related to RA. Please contact your PCP to clarify what an increase in Immature Granulocytes means for you.
Good luck,
Rosa
