Hi niongas,

If you have sex, you risk the chance of pregnancy. The side effects of the emergency contraceptive could be bleeding or a lack of a period as every woman has a different reaction. If you used the contraceptive as directed, you should be fine but only time will tell. If she has a period, this is a good sign of "not pregnant". However, there are many women who have delayed periods as well and are not pregnant. The best thing now is wait for her regularly scheduled period and if she misses it, take a pregnancy test. She should expect to have irregular periods for the next two months, as this has been a common reality after using the emergency contraceptives. Good luck.
