Starting Yaz on the second day of menstruation

I started taking Yazz 24+4 four days ago. Since I had pale pink discharge in late afternoon, I counted the following day as the first day of my menstruation, when I could observe the usual menstruation. So I started on that day. What I would like to ask is if contraception will be effective.

Thanks in advance,
Regards.

Hi Adiane,

I am not sure I understand correctly. Are you starting your new pack of active pills while on your period, as in not waiting for your period to stop? Can you please clarify as I don't think I understand what you are asking. Also, are you stating that you have just started taking this pill altogether? If so and your following the instructions of your doctor, it usually takes at least seven days before the pills is effective if you take the pill as directed.

Thanks,

Missie
