I do sports! And I eat healthy.
I do not know what to do with or without...with i feel better without i gain weight and water...here in UK and Germany I think the doctors are not really on the newest stand..what can I do? and which hrt products? Now I am 41,,thank very much and this site is absolute perfect!

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

Whether or not you should continue with HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) specifically taking Gynekadin gel and Oestrogen gel is something I can't answer. It really depends on what symptoms you had that led your doctor to prescribe them. Like with all medications, there will be side effects and it sounds like the weight gain and water retention is something you're frustrated with.

Are you experiencing any other unsettling side effects? Have you tried asking your doctor if there is an alternative treatment or medication? Perhaps another hormone product that is used for HRT.

Have a discussion with your doctor to see what options you have. There may be something you can do to offset the side effects you're currently experiencing.

I hope this helps.

Be well,
~Gillette
