Thalamic Pain Syndrome

A recent MRI showed a TIA of the thalamus, which has resulted in a diagnosis of TPS. I've had symptoms of loss of feeling (or feeling asleep) of 3 fingers of my right hand and the same symptom of my right shin. I also had this in my right thigh several years ago. My numb fingers also are very hypersensitive and I get shooting pains, burning ad similar things in my right hand and arm. Where can you get a variety of research on this to help me determine whether or not this is what's going on with me and what is the prognosis of it? I also have severe carpal tunnel in the right hand and moderate in the left. I hope to hear from someone soon.
