Hi Elbie Steenekamp Stiles,
Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community! The Pink Pill is definitely a hot topic these days and one that we have many resources about on EmpowHER.
Currently there are zero FDA-approved treatment options for women suffering from hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD). If the Pink Pill were approved by the FDA, it would be the first treatment option for women suffering from this condition. There are 26 FDA-approved treatment options for men suffering from some form of sexual dysfunction.
At this time there are clinical trials going on for the Pink Pill to ensure it treats all symptoms for HSDD and fully helps women suffering from the condition. On Nightline in March, Cindy Whitehead, founder and COO of Sprout Pharmaceuticals (which creates the Pink Pill) said it was important for women involved in clinical trials to actually be suffering from HSDD and not just participate out of boredom or interest.
Sprouts Pharmaceuticals has performed several clinical trials for the Pink Pill, also known as Flibanserin. Are you interested in taking part in a clinical trial for Flibanserin/the Pink Pill?
Here is a resource center on EmpowHER that talks all about the Pink Pill: https://www.empowher.com/pink-pill I hope this has helped! Please let me know if you have further questions.
Best,
