Q:

Is there a chance of pregnancy?

I'm 17. 3 days after my last period finished, we were with my boyfriend, there was only genital rubbing (naked) and he didn't ejaculate. I'm being kinda paranoid and i want to know if there is a chance that i might get pregnant. Usually i have a 25 day cycle but it changes. Do i need to get a pregnancy test? When do i need to take it? And I haven't ever been to a gynecologist yet and i'm kinda nervous to ask my mom to take me to a doctor. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you

Hi Anon,
No the morning after pill is meant to take the morning after sex. It does not terminate pregnancy if you would be already. Relax-- there is no need for you to take that :-)
Just wait for your period and keep me posted.

Dear Anon, your chances of being pregnant are slim. I would not worry about this unless you have a missed period. But in all honesty, don't lose sleep over it-- although sperm are very motile and can travel, during the process of pregnancy it's a long journey for them to travel much longer if nothing actually goes into the vaginal canal. If you did not see or feel any pre-ejaculate come out of your boyfriend, then your chances are even slimmer since in order to get pregnant sperm is necessary and if he did not penetrate you, he would have had to ejaculate right on your vagina in order for there to be any chance of getting pregnant.

Good luck

Thank you! That made me feel relaxed but i'm also wondering if it's possible for me to ovulate 3 days right after my period finished, if ovulation didn't occur, it's not possible to get pregnant right?

It is possible, depending on your when you ovulate. The only time you may get pregnant when you are not ovulating is if you have sex on a non-ovulating day and then ovulate within a day or two at most of having sex since sperm have the potential to live in your body for about 4-5 days but your egg only lives for up to 2 days. I hope I didn't get too complicated. In your case, like I said, I would not worry too much. Keep us updated on your period!

Now i'm considering taking a morning after pill even though there's a slight chance. Do you think it will work? Or there's no need for me to take it? I just want to take it in case anything goes wrong
