These are two conditions, of which I do not think are related.
Hot flashes are a commonly experienced symptom associated with the fluctuation in estrogen levels during menopause. Hormone replacement therapy is one treatment option with documented health risks. There are also lifestyle remedies to help cope with hot flashes.

Sudden single sided deafness is a condition that you should not ignore. Consult your physician right away.
