My last regular period was beginning of Feb. I engaged in intercourse every weekend after until the end of Feb. I did have an irregular period at the end of Feb. I usually have really heavy periods that last 5-7 days and never any deviation. This last one was noticeably light and I spotted for a week after. I am now going on a week late and I have never been late, not even a scare. For the last week I have felt bloated and a slight headache. My nipples were sesative for a couple days but that seems to have subsided. My body temp also seems to be warmer, times when I normally am freezing or cold I'm just fine. Over the last week I have like the taste of coffee less and less and finally today I couldn't stand ita nd it was my favorite flavor too. I have been gassy since yesterday and today I feel very bloated and a lot of pressure in my lower abdomin. Yesterday I got nausea after eating and today I was fine accept for the coffee also made me a bit ill. I took a pregnancy test on monday and it was negative. I have also noticed over the last couple weeks that I seem to be getting thicker. So far I have had none of my regular signs that my period is coming. It is also the end of the spring semester of college and it is pretty stressfull but I don't feel stressed right now. I also have been feeling all over the place since I noticed my period is late. I just need to know if I'm possibly pregnant or there is something else the matter.

Thank You

Hi Kitalian,

If you had unprotected sex in February and got your period at the end, then you are not pregnant. No matter how light a period is, it's still a period. You did mention that you were in college and had a lot of stress-- which could very well be the reason why you are late. Stress plays a very large role in our menstrual cycle and the way we feel-- I learned that recently when for the first time since I got my first period I was 12 days late due to stress amongst other things. It can happen to anyone; just make sure you use protection next time to avoid the scare.

Best Wishes!

Rosa
