Since 80% of the US piopulation is said ot have or will be exposed to the HPV virus, why doesn't the CDC concider it a pandemic? I'm sure it's prevelent in other countries as well.
The CDC, and manufactut=res should also concider making the Gradsil vaccine available to those over ages 26. ('m 42 and HPV positive) We "older" people still need protection from ilnesses as well.
Thanks forletting me vent!

Hi,
July 11, 2011 - 4:27pmThe aim of the CDC recommendation for vaccinating females, as early as age 9, is to immunize before the first sexual contact because they would not have been exposed to human papillomavirus. Once a girl or woman has been exposed to the virus, the vaccine might not work as well or might not work at all. Maybe, the time will come when the vaccine is offered to women who are over the age of 26, but have not had sexual contact.
