Hello and thank you in advance to all who try to help =)

I had my tubes tied after my last pregnancy (17 months ago) and since then I have not paid much attention to what day of the month my period starts. I do know I had my period in February (my guess is I started on the 14th or 21st - it was a Sat. and towards the later part of the month) and it's now going on April and I have not had a period. I know it's very unlikely that I could get pregnant after having my tubes tied BUT I conceived my three boys extremely easily. I'm just a fertile mertile ;) So, I do not doubt my bodies ability to get pregnant. I did take a pregnancy test last thursday (March 26) and it was negative. I don't currently have health insurance, if I did I would just make an appt to see my Doctor. What are your thoughts? Think I could be pregnant? FYI my periods are never late. If anything they come early and they last abour 7-8 days (ugh!!).

Thanks!!
~ K

P.S. If I were indeed pregnant would I get a positive pregnancy test if it was an ectopic pregnancy?

Hello Anonymous,

If the flow stopped after one day or was just spotting, wait one week and test.

I got my tubes tied/ cut/ burnt August 2016. I had a proof every 2-3 weeks until about 6 weeks and 2 days ago. I have not had a period for 6 weeks and 2 days now. I took a pregnancy test about 2 weeks ago. It said negative. Could I still be pregnant? Could a ectopic give a false negative? How long should I wait to go see my OBGYN?

Hello Anonymous,

An ectopic pregnancy will give you a positive pregnancy test, as the hormone produced still gets into the bloodstream.

Please call to speak with your gynecologist.

Tubes tied 4 years ago. Been irregular since. Had my last period in December 2016. I do have PCOS but take metformin to try and regulate my periods. But it's not April and nothing, this last week I've been cramping but still nothing. I'm also getting bloody noses and have very tender nipples, which is not a normal symptom for me when my period is coming. Just wondering if I should been concerned...?

Hello Anonymous,

For peace of mind, telephone your gynecologist.

Before calling, you may want to take a home pregnancy test, that is if you have had unprotected intercourse since your last period.

Hi I would like to know what's going on with me I'm blooded I
my stomach getting stiff sometimes and I'm going through menopause

Hi, I'm 34 years old and had my tubes clamped 3 years ago. My periods have been regular up to this point, about 27-28 days. My last period was Feb 24, it only last 2 days and was very light. (I could have worn 1 tampon for the entire thing.) They normally last 3-4 days, heavy at first then lightening up. I am roughly a week late now. I have also had heavy discharge for the past week, lower back pain, breakouts on my face, and poor circulation. I took a pregnancy test last Thursday and got a faint positive. I took another on Friday and got a negative. Could I be pregnant or is this the start of menopause? My periods are normally like clockwork, I'm healthy, and not stressed.
