Hi, I am menapusal, 52 and am trying to lose the weight that has creeped on. I need to lose 50 pounds so I started to cut out sugar etc. and start my walking again. The last week or so I have noticed an intense "cramping" slightly painful feeling in my upper stomach? as if I am hungry but they are not hunger pains. More like cramping and it feels like my food is not going down or being digested? Meanwhile I am not losing weight at all. What natural remedies could I try to feel better?
Thank you, Betsy

Hi Allaboutme,
Thanks for your question and for finding EmpowHER. Congrats on your commitment toward living a healthy lifestyle in 2011! Keep at it. Before we try to find natural remedies, I would suggest you take a visit with your doctor to find out what could be going on. Besides for walking, and cutting out sugar, have you changed anything else in your diet or lifestyle? Do you have any medical conditions that need to be taken in to consideration? Are you taking any medications, or supplements?
Being healthy is a good thing, but make sure that you are not causing a detriment to your health. Visiting with your doctor to ensure the right path can help you to be more successful so you can stick with it!
Good luck and let us know what you find out.
