i've been with my boyfriend a year now, but recently sex doesnt seem that fun. and i seen on his messages that he actually said that he thinks it is a little un-enjoyable... it made me a wee bit upset.. i think its because we were having a rough patch, but have talked it over, its just i feel myself that im not doing it right and i could be doing something more to make it exciting again.. has anyone felt this way before or gone through this? what should I do? i know sex isnt that important but in a relationship it kinda is a bit... i know myself i am a bit weird in the sex department, bad experiences and etc, not to go into much more detail, but thats it.. i need some help :)

Maybe therapy with a well-trained counselor or psychologist who specializes in sexual issues would be helpful. I appreciate your reservation to go into detail about your past sexual history. Something in your past, such as sexual abuse or rape, can have a negative impact on your ability to be intimate and enjoy sex now.

A second suggestion is for you and your boyfriend to meet with a couples counselor. Once you have worked through your personal issues, the two of you can work through your shared issues.
