upper back and chest pain

I started to have upper back and chest pain last night. I've been taking Zantac OTC for the past few months since my insurance company doesn't cover it anymore. My acid reflux is usually under control with meds but lately it's been bad and last night it started to be really painful. The pain in my chest and back hurts whenever I take a deep breath.
The pain is worse when I lay down. I don't want to over react but this is making me nervous.

Hi Anonymous,

You are not over-reacting. Chest pain is considered a medical emergency and you should be seen by a doctor as soon as possible. If you are having difficulty breathing, even more the reason to seek help.

Please keep us updated,
