I am 58 years old and I have been going through menopause for about 2 years I believe, I just had a test done and on this and the doctor told me that it was very , very low. I have had a lot of mood changes in the last year, mad some times sad and I am basically a very happy women. I get irritated very quickly and I was just wanting to know if anyone is experiencing this while menopausal and if so what have you tried ? I have been going thought this journey without any medication for hormones basically cold turkey. I just found this site and happy to share and hopefully here back ok thanks and have a nice day

Hi babe123,

Welcome to EmpowHER. There are many ways in you can relieve the symptoms of Menopause naturally.  Hot flashes, try to notice what can triggers your hot flashes and avoid those things. Possible things can be spicy food, alcohol, caffeine, stress or being in a hot place. Mood swings, get enough sleep and staying physically active will help to feel your best. If not try talking to your doctor, if you feel depressed or not being able to control the mood swings yourself.  Sometimes medications such as antidepressant can help. Here is a link that might be helpful on Menopause.

Thank You ,Daisy for answering back, its not so much as the hot flashes, its the mood swings and after I have them which is about 4 times a day, I feel bad if I have offended someone. I am a 58 year old student and I tend to be around people for half of the day, sometimes I feel that I can go to hard on someone without hearing their point of view, which is sad and not me. Thank You so much for your time and concern
