Hello Anon,

Thank you for visiting the EmpowHER community and for sharing your question about lymph nodes.

The soreness and heavy feelings in your breast might be a breast infection. Symptoms include one breast appears larger than the other due to abnormal swelling, breast tenderness, and enlarged axillary lymph nodes.

Lymph nodes are small, bean-shaped glands throughout the body. They are part of the lymph system, which carries fluid (lymph fluid), nutrients, and waste material between the body tissues and the bloodstream.

To answer your question, lymph nodes often swell in one location when a problem such as an injury, infection, or tumor develops in or near the lymph node.

Here is some helpful information about Lymph Nodes

I would schedule a breast exam with your doctor to find out if you have an infection. I would not put this off. Soreness is not typical of breast cancer, but you should still consult with your physician.

Anon, did this help?

Best,

Kristin
