Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern about lumps along the hairline at the back of your scalp and at the upper portion of your neck.

Folliculitis may be the cause. It is an inflammation of the hair follicles. It can be caused by an infection in the hair follicles, by chemical irritation or by physical irritation such shaving or friction from clothing.

Anonymous, should these lumps get larger, become more painful or get red, schedule an appointment with your doctor.

Please keep us updated.

Regards,
Maryann
