Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER and thank you for coming to us with your concern.

How long has this been going on? Is the mucus green or yellow in color? Have you tried any over the counter products to help with the nasal congestion? Do you suffer with allergies?

Nasal congestion can be caused by anything that irritates or inflames the nasal tissues. Infections, such as colds, influenza or sinusitis or allergies and various irritants, such as tobacco smoke, may all cause a stuffy nose.

Hello Anonymous,

Consider scheduling an appointment to be evaluated. You could start with your primary care physician who may refer you to a ENT or ear, nose and throat specialist. With special equipment designed to look up your nostrils and a MRI scan, the doctor can determine if there is a blockage that is causing the chronic nasal congestion.
