Hi Anonymous,
May 23, 2011 - 6:42pmThank you for finding the EmpowHer website and asking your question. As you may already know, phlebitis is inflammation of a vein and the most common cause is trauma. Did your father experience injury to the affected eye? Has he been advised by his physician to limit or avoid certain activities such as heavy lifting? Heavy lifting may possibly add strain to the phlebitis in his eye. I would check with his physician for any limitation or restrictions.
