Q:

I wanted to know what the time lapse is between inserting one then the other of the tablets of misoprostol, in preparation for having a tissue sample taken in the morning. My Doctor has prescribed Misoprostol (200 mg), two tablets to be taken vaginally, 12 hours before the tissue sample is to be taken. She is predicting the medication will cause a dilation of the vaginal walls, to allow the instrument to be inserted into the uterus.

Hi Anon,

Welcome to EmpowHER.  We can't tell you how to use your medication.  That's something you would have to talk to your doctor about and ask her how would she like you to take your misoprostol tablets.

Best,

Daisy
