What will the Plan b pill do if I'm already pregnant?

Plan B or Plan B One-Step is not an abortion pill. It does not cause a miscarriage or an abortion. It does not stop the development of a fetus once the fertilized egg implants in your uterus. It will not work if you are already pregnant when you take it.

Plan B or Plan B One-Step is an emergency contraceptive which works primarily by preventing ovulation or the release of an egg from an ovary, possibly prevents fertilization by altering tubular transport of the sperm and/ or the egg, and by altering the endometrium, which can inhibit implantation of the fertilized egg.
