Hi,
There are benefits and risks associated with the use of hormone replacement therapy. The decision to take hormone therapy is an individual choice that is made by each woman, based on her health history, lifestyle and physician's recommendation. The hormones, estrogen and progesterone appear to promote the growth of uterine fibroids. HRT has been shown to increase the risk for uterine fibroids.
