Q:

What's wrong with me?

Okay so, my vagina hurts like it's sore or something? But I've haven't had sex in a few months and I've had my regular periods. But when I sit down or bend down the pain then goes to my butt hole. Also I have a milky discharge, but no burning or itching. Could it have something to do with my pain? It would be so helpful to get some answers. Thanks!

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

You may be suffering from vaginitis, which is an inflammation of the vagina that can result in discharge and pain. The cause is usually a change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria or an infection.

The most common types of vaginitis include:

bacterial vaginosis, which results from an overgrowth of one of several organisms normally present in your vagina

yeast infections

trichomoniasis, which is caused by a parasite and is commonly transmitted by sexual intercourse

Treatment depends on the type of vaginitis you have. I suggest you consult your physician. By performing a physical exam, your doctor can make a diagnosis and prescribe treatment.
