When is my period coming?

I has sex for the first time on Feb 25th around midnight. This was 2 days after my period ended. The condom broke but my boyfriend didn't ejaculate at all. On March 1 at 8am I took plan b as a precaution. I went on antibiotics on March 6-17 because I had an abscess. My roommate is on birth control and is going to get her period on March 21. She has changed mine before. Right now I have clear drainage and bloating. I'm not tender, have nausea, or spotting. Am I freaking out for nothing? Is my period just going to be late?

But I cannot remember my period vet being late before. Please tell me my chances

Hi Anonymous,

Did you period arrive?

It's not possible to get pregnant through clothing and it is possible that your wisdom tooth surgery and fast weight loss may be why you have a late period.

It's been 5 months shouldn't the medicine be out my system already ? I need 2 know the signs of ovulation . I'm going to see my obgyn in two months for annual I'm goin to ask her to check me and be sure I am able to bare children because I live kids and will like my own.

Hi Anon,

When you're on birth control for that long, it is possible that the following month after stopping it you'll begin ovulating but it is also possible for you to take a few months longer before your body returns to its normal ovulating state. Don't assume that there is anything wrong with you, pregnancy takes time. Most of the time, doctors are not even concerned until you have been actively trying to conceive for a year or more. If you have a 28 day cycle, you can assume that you are ovulating on around day 14. Some women feel a tiny cramping during that time, an increase in discharge is also a sign of ovulation, and a slight increase in basal body temperature will also indicate ovulation.

You are very young and have plenty of time to get pregnant-- try not to rush things and take everything in stride. The less stressed out you are about this, the better your chances of conception are.

Good Luck,

Rosa

Hi psu1217,
Pregnancy tests are 99% accurate so I would assume that you are not pregnant. If you are still concerned, go to your doctor and have them do a blood test.

I hope this helps.

When I was 3 days late I took a hpt and it came out negative but still no period. Is this just because of the plan b still and I'm for sure not pregnant?

yes i am. Is that normal before my period? Will it stop before my period or continue with it?

Discharge is normal at any point in time unless it has a foul odor and/or strange color. During ovulation, you may notice increased discharge but clear discharge is absolutely normal and it is our body's way of naturally cleansing itself. It isn't really a matter of when it "stops".

question: clear drainage is normal before a period. but does it stop a day before you get your period? or does it go right up until you get it?

I am not sure what you mean by "clear drainage". Are you saying that you are seeing white or clear vaginal discharge, either when you use toilet paper or on your underwear? Women have vaginal discharge, and it changes in consistency, amount and color during your cycle. You can read more about healthy vaginal discharge (and when to know if you should call a doctor, which includes any pain, foul odor or yellow-ish color): Vaginal Discharge and Cervical Mucus: FAQ.
