Why are my eyes different

I have the exact same thing Blue eyes with a brown mark
But mines on the top of my right eye

Anyway its just a birth mark nothing to worry about

other ppl think its werid but i think its cool

It is funny that I read this. I have eyes that change colors all the time while others are plainly one color. They are brown, green, blue and gray at times. I always wondered why they changed. Some say it was the weather, the mood, what you wear. I have no idea but it happens more often than not. I haven't really found a pattern that it followed.

Today is green though.

I have had it for as long as I can remember, but I did not have it in my baby pictures.

Melanie, how long have you had that patch? Were you born with it or did you just notice it recently? Have you had an eye exam lately? If so, what did your doctor or optometrist tell you? These are important questions before helping you. Thanks for the photo too, it is very clear that there is a brown spot in your iris.

The iris is known to have spots similar to freckles on the skin. These are normal but if there are any changes they need to be monitored as any mole or freckle would if it was on you skin and they are benign.

There is a condition called Fuch's heterochromic iridocyclitis where one iris is a different color than the other and is often associated with glaucoma and iritis in the lighter iris. There are also tumors of the iris but those spots are usually dark masses that can definitely change the color of the iris. And there are also those white spots that show in the iris (known as arcus senilis) that can actually change the appearance of iris color to a lighter shade. This condition is more common in people over the age of 40 and is caused by lipid deposits in the cornea that appear as a hazy white ring around the iris.

From the picture you sent, it does not appear to be serious but there is no subtitute to getting a good check up with an Ophthalmologist or at least with an Optometrist. Good luck!
